Clunes was awesome. I learnt so much, not just about the technical stuff like cooking and cleaning, but about life as well. I learnt a lot about different people and also a lot about myself. Some of the things that I learnt were only small and seem insignificant now, but I know that I will probably use them when I am older. I have enjoyed Clunes so much; I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My housemates are amazing, and I had so much fun. Half of the fun of Clunes was with my housemates, if it weren’t for them, it wouldn’t have been half as good. One of the best things about Clunes is being able to just hang out, and go to other people’s houses. With school, most people only have a limited friendship group that they can just chill with, but here anyone has the opportunity to get to know anyone, and you really do. Stephanie L.

Although sometimes it’s hard not to get strikes you get into the swing of things and at the end of the eight weeks you reflect on how great the eight weeks were. Clunes was educational, inspiring and also fun and I’m glad I had the chance to come here and have this amazing experience. Everything was so different from home, where I could just sit down and have everything done for me, but here, I had to do everything myself if I wanted it done. I enjoyed many activities that were organized during the term and I made many friends from St. Kilda Road and Glen Waverley, whom I hope I will keep in touch with after I leave Clunes. I had a great house and my housemates were awesome friends to hang around with. There were many memories that were made throughout the term as well as many challenges that were thrown upon me. My time at Clunes was so amazing, I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to have come here and be part of Group 38. I didn’t expect Clunes to be the way it was, I didn’t even know that we were going to make a “cooking roster” and I didn’t know that we went shopping individually, I thought that our house would all go as a group each week. I was extremely happy with my house and the people I got because they’re really nice and supporting people. I made some really good friends at Clunes and I hope that I can still see them. Although I did have some rough times throughout Clunes I still think that I made the most of my time and whilst I was doing that I was having a ball.
